Marketing Insights Analyst – Parsippany, NJ

Our client is one of the country’s largest manufacturers of commercial and residential roofing materials. They are looking for a contract Marketing Insights Analyst to work based out of their Parsippany, NJ headquarters. Estimated length of this assignment is 12 months with the potential to extend. This is a hybrid role.

The Insights Analyst provides support to the Insights team in the execution of Market Research initiatives, the results of which will drive overall Brand, Product, Advertising, Marketing and Customer Program strategy for a growing Commercial business.

The Insights Analyst is responsible for assisting various functions with marketing research, consumer, and customer insights projects to drive the strategy for new product development, branding efforts, contractor programs and other key aspects of marketing.  This role is focused on conducting marketing research and analysis by leveraging company tools or through managing vendor relationships.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset while being intellectually curious as they help develop and deliver the information that will drive and support Marketing Strategy. This person is a listener and asks questions while working with their customers to clearly identify needs upon which to base and develop market research plans. Marketing research experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.

Market Research Responsibilities:

  • Supports the delivery of end-to-end research from requirements gathering to study launch and results delivery
  • Partners with senior Insights resources and outside vendors to conduct relevant market research projects
  • Programs questionnaires and conducts analysis within Qualtrics
  • Conducts and analyzes qualitative focus groups and interviews as needed
  • Presents research findings to business owners as well as senior management to give insight on our business
  • Supports the research needs on request for Commercial focused areas including but not limited to Products, Programs, Services and Events for Architects, Specifiers, Building Envelope Consultants, and Property Managers
  • Partners with the direct marketing team, marketing services and legal to launch surveys to customer database
  • Supports User Experience testing/research
  • Collaborates with Insights Team to bring projects to completion
  • Supports management and strategy for Insights Management System

  • Bachelor’s Degree mandatory; prefer degree in Marketing or General Management but other business majors (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Architecture/Engineering) will be considered if the candidate has an interest in Marketing Research
  • Certifications through N/ng, Burke, or other institutions/organizations will also be considered in lieu of a degree with appropriate experience
  • College graduates or professionals with 1-2 years of experience in marketing, marketing research or marketing analytics
